1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Grad Gifts website and placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our website or services.

2. Products & Services

Grad Gifts specializes in custom laser-cut and laser-engraved graduation bookmarks. All products are handcrafted to order based on the specifications you provide, including school name, graduation year, student names, material selection, and engraving options.

3. Order Process

Placing a custom order with Grad Gifts follows this process:

  1. Inquiry & Quote: Submit your order requirements through our website or by contacting us directly. We will provide a detailed quote based on your specifications.
  2. PDF Proof: Upon agreement on pricing and specifications, we will supply a PDF proof of your custom bookmarks for your review and approval.
  3. Proof Approval: You must review and formally approve the PDF proof before production begins. It is your responsibility to verify all details — including names, spelling, dates, and design elements — are correct.
  4. Deposit: A 50% deposit of the total order value is required before production commences. Production will not begin until the deposit has been received.
  5. Production & Delivery: Once your deposit is received and your proof is approved, we will begin crafting your order. Estimated production and delivery timelines will be communicated at the time of order confirmation.
  6. Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance is due in full upon delivery of the completed order. Payment must be received before or at the time of delivery.

4. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice, but quoted prices will be honoured for confirmed orders.
  • We accept payment via e-Transfer, credit card, or cheque. Specific payment instructions will be provided with your invoice.
  • Bulk pricing may be available depending on order volume — please inquire for details.

5. Proof Approval & Accuracy

Once you approve the PDF proof, you accept full responsibility for the accuracy of all content shown in the proof. Grad Gifts will not be held liable for errors in names, dates, spelling, or other details that were present in the approved proof. Any changes requested after proof approval may incur additional charges and delay production.

6. Refund & Return Policy

Because all products are custom-made to your specifications, refunds are handled as follows:

  • Before Production: If you cancel your order before production has begun, your 50% deposit will be refunded in full.
  • During Production: If you cancel after production has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable, as materials have been committed and work has begun.
  • After Delivery: Refunds will only be provided if the delivered products are defective or of demonstrably poor quality — for example, broken pieces, significant engraving errors not present in the approved proof, or material damage that occurred during production.
  • Claims: Any claims regarding defective or poor-quality products must be submitted within 14 days of delivery, accompanied by photographs of the issue. We will assess each claim on a case-by-case basis and, where warranted, offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.
  • Non-Refundable: We cannot offer refunds for buyer's remorse, change of mind, or errors that were present in the approved PDF proof.

7. Shipping & Delivery

  • Delivery methods and timelines will be agreed upon at the time of order confirmation.
  • Shipping costs, if applicable, are the responsibility of the customer and will be included in the quote.
  • Grad Gifts is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs, or events beyond our reasonable control.
  • Local pickup may be available for orders in the Greater Montreal area.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Grad Gifts website — including text, images, logos, designs, and graphics — is the property of Grad Gifts and is protected by Canadian copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.

By submitting artwork, logos, or designs for use in your order, you represent that you have the right to use those materials and grant us a limited licence to reproduce them solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grad Gifts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of our website or products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

10. Force Majeure

Grad Gifts shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performing obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, supply chain disruptions, equipment failures, or government actions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Quebec.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
